Premises
Helps you prepare for your Safe Scouting Premises audit
Trivet puts the Safe Scouting Premises Audit on your list of checks once a year, with a reminder when it's due. Before you do it, you can work through our self-check.
- A self-check written in our own words. Stop when you need to and pick it up later.
- Walk round the hut with another volunteer and answer each question. Anything that needs doing becomes an action, with a date and a name.
- Upload the completed audit form, or keep the self-check's result as your record.
- Fire, gas, electrics and the other checks a hut usually needs, each with its own reminder.

Minibus checks and driver licence checks
- Walkaround checks on a phone, even in a field with no signal.
- Report a defect and take the minibus off the road until it's fixed.
- MOT and tax dates looked up for you from DVLA and DVSA.
- Your drivers in one list, with their qualifications, such as MiDAS.
- Driving licence checks from DVLA's records. Coming soon
Fleet is £1 per vehicle per week. Licence checks will be £1.50 each.
Trustees and governance
- Your trustee board, with each person's role and when their term ends.
- Meetings with agendas, and minutes written in the app or uploaded.
- Each trustee records their own declarations of interest.
- Works without a charity number, as many Groups don't have one. If yours is registered in England and Wales, we check the Charity Commission's register every week and add your filing deadlines.
Governance is included in the £5 a year per site.
Built by Scout volunteers
We volunteer with Scouts ourselves. We built Trivet for the people who keep a Group going in their spare time: the ones who remember when the extinguishers were last serviced, and who'd like someone else to be able to find out.
Not a Scout Group? Trivet works the same way for other charities and community groups.
Our wording and guidance are checked against legislation and official guidance (such as HSE's), but each organisation is responsible for its own compliance. Where to get help.
