About us

Why we built it

We're Scout volunteers. We built Trivet for charities, community groups and small businesses that look after a building or a few vehicles.

The problem

A village hall, a club or a Scout hut needs many of the same checks as a bigger building: fire safety, gas, electrics. Add a minibus and a board of trustees and there's a lot to keep track of. In a small organisation that's usually done in the evenings, by a volunteer or an owner with a business to run, from a ring-binder handed down by the last person who did the job.

We've been those volunteers. We wanted one place that says what's due, reminds you before it is, keeps the certificates, and lets the next person pick it up when you move on. So we built it, and kept the price low enough for a small organisation's budget.

What we believe

  • Plain words. If a duty needs explaining, we explain it, and link to the official guidance.
  • Honesty about limits. We help you keep on top of things; each organisation is still responsible for its own compliance.
  • Your data is yours. Take all of it with you whenever you like.
  • No surprises. Prices are on this website, and we give notice before they change.
